Competition Policy Implementation

The mission of this working group is to identify key elements that contribute to successful
capacity building and competition policy implementation in developing and transition economies.

For the year 2007-2008, the group consists of two subgroups focused on:

Subgroup 1: The Effectiveness of Technical Assistance
Subgroup 2: Agencies Effectiveness Project

The co-chairs of the Competition Policy Implementation Working Group are Elizabeth Farina,
President, Council for Economic Defense, Brazil and the Mr. Yaşar TEKDEMİR Turkish
Competition Authority.

Agencies Effectiveness Project

This Subgroup intends to organize a dynamic panel at the Kyoto Conference on strategic planning
and institutional priorities. To achieve the objective, the subgroup has prepared a guidance for some
interviews to be done with some ICN jurisdictions, which will be carried by volunteer ICN members.
